JAMES M. McFAUL


Mr. McFaul was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree by the University of California, Los Angeles in 1973, and a juris doctorate by Loyola Law School in 1978. For most of his career, Mr. McFaul has devoted his practice exclusively to the analysis and litigation of insurance coverage disputes. Mr. McFaul’s focus in his practice is to render prompt, accurate and defensible coverage opinions when requested, and to aggressively litigate an insurer’s coverage position when required. Mr. McFaul’s practice has included extensive experience with both first and third-party coverages. In recent years, Mr. McFaul’s services have been regularly engaged in construction defect cases, environmental actions, business tort claims potentially involving personal and advertising injury coverage, employment claims involving alleged wrongful termination and harassment, professional liability coverage claims, and a wide array of complex disputes arising among insurers in cases of coinsurance. Mr. McFaul is one of the foremost legal minds in the field of insurance coverage law in the State of California.
